2025 Silver Pen Winners

Homestead Hills is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Silver Pen Competition. On April 5th 2025, Homestead Hills hosted the two winners and their friends and families for an awards dinner. There, they were presented with $3,750 cash prizes. The essay topic for 2025 was as follows:

How have the extracurricular programs such as music, art, clubs, and/or sports teams helped with your educational and personal growth? How do you feel it would affect the education system if they were taken away?

Homestead Hills Members who made up the judging panel also selected the essay topic. The Silver Pen Writing Competition is an essay competition that Homestead Hills’ parent company, The Maxwell Group, started in 2012 to bridge the communication gap between high school seniors and community Members. Each participant submitted a written essay with a minimum of 1,000 words. Over the past eleven years, they have award these scholarships to high school seniors to help differ tuition cost.
