Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Last week, we hosted our very own Walk to End Alzheimer’s here at Homestead Hills! We had our Members from Independent Living and Assisted Living come out to participate in this community walk. Even though we are unable to attend a local area walk this year, missing out on an opportunity to bring together our Members and Team Members wasn’t an option! The Alzheimer’s Association is near and dear to our hearts, and this year to date, we have raised over $6,000 dollars to support the fight to #ENDALZ!

Archery

Another week of beautiful weather so we brought out the targets for archery! We’re on week 4 of our Archery lessons, and our Members are already improving! This week Members focused on fine-tuning their skills and are helping one another with their form and aim! They are doing a great job. We are loving watching their progress!

Hoedown Throwdown

There is so much to be thankful for this time of year! We wanted to do something special for our Members to Fall Festival Hoedown Throwdown last week. None of the Above, a local bluegrass band played for over two hours for our Independent Living Members and an hour for our Care Services Members. It was such a treat! They were incredible! Henry’s Kettle Korn joined us for our festival activities, bringing regular pop kettle and caramel corn! Members participated in pumpkin bowling and a pumpkin patch set up to everyone got to take a little pumpkin home with them! To finish the day off, Members sipped on Apple Cider Whiskey Slushies! It was an afternoon to remember!

Viva Vegas

Viva, Las Vegas! This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting our High Balls and Hot Dogs event with featured The King, Elvis himself! Members enjoyed their favorite lunches with a side of ginger ale and bourbon! We welcomed Jeff Keener from Keener Entertainment to our community to perform some of our Member’s favorite songs that had them up on their feet, dancing along. It was such a fun day!
